The Chicago Cubs punched their ticket to their first World Series since 1945 by beating the L.A. Dodgers in game 6, 5-0. They will face the Cleveland Indians who are in the World Series for the first time since 1997. They lost to the Florida Marlins that year in 7 games. The Indians will have home field advantage since the American League won the All-Star Game. Game one and two are in Cleveland tonight and tomorrow. The series shifts to Chicago for game 3 on Friday. Tickets in Chicago for the first home game are skyrocketing on the open market.
The cheapest ticket on Stubhub.com to see the Cubs in the World Series at Wrigley Field is standing room only for about $1,875. The outfield is always a decent place to sit because there is a chance to catch a home run ball. Those are called the bleacher seats. To sit there one may pay anywhere from $2,899 to $15,000.
Behind the plate is one of the best places to see where the ball crosses the plate. These tickets range from $7,425 to 7,500. Down the outfield lines, which are not bad seats, cost $3,500 to $8,500.
Some of the best seats at Wrigley Field are the highest section. This gives the spectator a chance to see the whole field and watch without having an obstructed view. These are not cheap for the World Series, which are anywhere from $2,800 to $4,000. These ticket prices on Stubhub.com should still rise before falling for game 3 on Friday. This could be history in the making. The Cubs are looking to win their first World Series since 1908.
