Unreal Ticket Prices for Stanley Cup Game 6

The Chicago Blackhawks could clinch the Stanley Cup tonight in game 6 on home ice for the first time since 1938. This would also be their third Stanley Cup victory in the last five years. How much are tickets going for to see this historic game?

Ticket prices have skyrocketed. Face value for tickets is $140 for standing room only, $285 for upper level tickets, $650 for club level, and $650 on the glass. According to StubHub, the cheapest standing room only is $825 while the most expensive is $1,887.

Some of the best seats in an NHL stadium are the upper goal section. This gives a fan the best view of a play developing. A Stanley Cup ticket usually costs $285. At StubHub they are going for anywhere between $1,249 and $5,852.

Club Level is always a first-rate place to sit. Not only is the hockey action easy to see but there are wait people to order food and drink from who deliver to your seat. Those seats are face valued at $650. The most costly tonight is $5,887 but an inexpensive seat in this section is going for $2,355.

The priciest place to sit at any hockey arena is right on the glass. This allows fans to bang on the glass during play and see unobstructed views. These are usually $1,200 for each Stanley Cup home game at the United Center. According to StubHub, a fan can sit on the glass for tonight’s game for as little as $4,500 up to $9,918.

This might be an historic night for the Chicago Blackhawks as they look to win yet another Stanley Cup. According to ESPN, Max Waisvisz, partner in Chicago-based brokerage Gold Coast Tickets, believes these ticket prices remind him of when the Bulls were going for NBA championships with Michael Jordan. Waisvisz said, “Aside from when the Bears were in the Super Bowl against the Colts, these are numbers that are reminiscent of the Michael Jordan days.” Waisvisz also thinks that people just want to be there to see this historic event saying, “There are people calling who have never spent a dollar on hockey in Chicago and they just want to be there. That’s what really drives the price up.”

Ticket prices are unreal for game six. If fans have that kind of money to spend they might as well try to see history. Face-off is at 6 PM Mountain Time. This will be the last home game of the season for the Blackhawks. If Chicago fails to clinch, game seven would be on Wednesday in Tampa Bay.
